Enlist™ weed control system: Soybean Tolerance to Off Target Movement
In this video, Pioneer Field Agronomist Daniel Emmert shows how off target movement can vary between different weed control systems. In this demonstration plot, soybeans were sprayed with herbicides they were not tolerant to, in order to show the importance of making sure you double-check what is in the tank before spraying your soybeans. However, there are a few key differences between the systems. The soybeans near the area sprayed with Enlist were perfectly healthy, with not cupping, even with off target movement. In the other plot sprayed with Engenia and Roundup PowerMAX, there was significant drift damage and cupping in the nearby soybeans, even in soybeans not directly in the path of the wind. Daniel notes that soybeans are naturally 23 times more susceptible to dicamba compared to 2,4-D choline, making Enlist a safer choice.
